Michael Guajardo of Moonrize

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Guajardo, creator of Moonrize.

Michael, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.


I’d like to start out by saying, I didn’t create a capsule to create a company. I created a mushroom blend capsule to help me and all my fellow party friends and better, faster, and easier recovery by putting the correct nutrition back into our bodies, thus the Bounce Backs where formed! Then I started thinking about how I could help my brain fire faster and clear the brain fog that happens far too often, as well as help my girlfriend deal with her monthly cycle easier.

My girlfriend and I have been together for almost four years now and we had broken up the first three years of our relationship almost every month, whether it was for an hour or for a day, a ‘fight’ would break out leaving me wondering what the heck just happened and why. To later learn she most of the time didn’t really know why either, leaving me more confused than before. After doing hours upon hours of research I started seeing a pattern that the medical mushrooms that helped aid the brain also benefited your hormonal and mood balance as well. So I continued to research all-natural ingredients that would work synergistically with the mushrooms that I discovered benefited mood and hormone stabilization, thus the New Aura was formed!

If we were in a non-modernized civilization I would consider myself the shaman or healer of my “tribe”. My focus has been on how to help others, including my peers, feel better, live longer, and have overall better daily health. I’ve been a general manager of La Fitness as well worked hours upon hours personal training clients, to being a college professor teaching Nutrition, Health and Wellness, to today I’m currently a group fitness instructor to elderly people suffering from Dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s disease. I have been slowly having each of them ‘test’ or ‘sample’ the New Aura capsules because so many of the ingredients that help with hormone and mood stabilization also made claim to help one if not all three of the diseases mentioned above.

Its been an awesome journey this past year getting to not only see with my own eyes the changes to the beloved humans around me getting positive effects from my capsule but to also hear the testimonials from the others who have tried or sampled my capsules also.

Moonrize currently has two products the New Aura and the Bounce Back. They both come in a capsule as well as a powder for those of us who have trouble with swallowing capsules. In 2020, I’ve been currently developing a tattoo skincare balm, that use medical mushrooms topically to help heal, rejuvenate, and repair new and old tattoos the Name of this product is going to be called After Ink….stay tuned!!!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?


Thus far, it’s been a lot of research and development as well as the wonderful complexities of starting a new company. Marketing is a number of challenges. Simply getting the public aware of our products on a shoestring budget.
